hi,

I'm struggling to find samples of TM4C129LNCZAD.

is the part going to EOL? the web page indicates TM4C129XNCZAD as alternative...

what are the differences between the 2 parts?

thanks a lot in advance

  • Vincenzo,
Since I was searching something related and could take a quick look, maybe a "partial reply" will help: the only difference I can find is related to the operating temperature, which goes to 85oC in the XN and 105oC in the LN. There seems to be no NRND for either, so it may only suggest that the rarest one is only "not that popular"...
By the way, a "comparison" tool on TI's site wouldn't be a bad tool, uh? Something showing the usual table, but limiting the results to the few p/n's selected...

  • Hi Vincenzo,

Please see the below comparison between the two. As you can see the "X" has 1-wire interface.

  • Hummm...

Interesting how a "blind" reply can be sort of naive! I see now that both parts have options for both temperature ranges.

And yes, the "compare" feature that I suggest is actually there. This link (probably) goes directly to the comparison:

    www.ti.com/.../compare.html

FWIW, what is that "10/100 ENET MAC" shown as YES in one part, and NO in the other? Would that simply be something to show YES as opposed to when "10/100 ENET MAC+PHY" is NOT available? In that case, there is an error in the database for the XN part...

  • Hi Bruno,

On the lower left side the product page you can click extra features. I clicked all of them. As you can see there is a "ENET MAC+PHY" and "ENET MAC". The "ENET MAC" does not make sense to me. I will check with marketing if this checkbox can be removed.

  • Hi Bruno, Vincenzo,

Sorry, my bad. My earlier reply was not correct. The "X" version has the MII i/f to the external PHY while the "L" version does not.
