Hello,
CCS provides several tools that can help with these tasks.

There are tools such as watchpoints that you can use to monitor memory:
downloads.ti.com/.../

You can check for things like stack overflow:
processors.wiki.ti.com/.../Checking_for_Stack_Overflow

You can use counters for basic profiling:
downloads.ti.com/.../

And for additional profiling, there is some trace capability:
software-dl.ti.com/.../ccsv7_swo_trace.html

My main area of expertise is CCS I will comment mostly on tools provided by CCS. CCS also has other functionality that can be helpful. There is more information in the Debug Handbook:
