Greetings. I'm using EK-TM4C1294XL and programming it via internal programmer. Is it possible to use this programmer for external TM4C1294NCPDT? If yes, can you tell me how? I saw, how man used EK-TM4C1294XL for another EK-TM4C1294XL, but that's not what i'm looking for...
Yes, it is possible to use the ICDI of the EK-TM4C1294XL to program an external TM4C1294NCPDT device. Here is the information from section 3.6 of the EK-TM4C129XL User's Guide:
As i thought... So, i need to remove this resistors, install connectors to X1, set jumper to ICDI mode, connect it to my PCB MCU, power up MCU, connect programmer to PC via USB and load programm from Code Composer? That's everything, right?
That is not exactly what the User's Guide says, but if you use the odd side pins of X1 it will work. The original intent is for X1 to be for jumper plugs that can be used to restore the ability to program the on-board TM4C1294 device. U6 is intended for connecting to the external TM4C1294 device. However, the same signals appear on the odd pins of X1 and U6.
