Hi Siddharth,

My apologies for replying late, I understood that we have to establish a connection with UART terminal for USB to work . But kindly tell the sequence of command which we have to give on terminal to activate this example and how to proceed further.

Are you able to connect to the UART ?

Do you see the following screen

You can then type any of the following commands which are supported

1 . "ls", Cmd_ls, " : Display list of files"
2. "chdir", Cmd_cd, ": Change directory"
3. "cd", Cmd_cd, " : alias for chdir"
4. "pwd", Cmd_pwd, " : Show current working directory"
5. "cat", Cmd_cat, " : Show contents of a text file"

Drishti,

Please follow the following steps to run the example

Load the binary and run the example.
Open a Serial Terminal with the settings 115200 Baud 8-N-1 for the XDS 110. It will show if the device is connected or disconnected.
Connect a host Mass Storage Device to the USB Micro Slot in the Control Card on top.
When you connect the Mass storage device, it should be detected and you can see the above screen.
You should be able to run commands like ls,mkdir etc .

Let me know if you are able to run it using the above info

I tried the suggested procedure ,but it is not showing the desirable results .The data is coming in g_cCmdBuf but usb msc is not activated . Kindly see the screenshot attached.

Which version of C2000Ware are you using?

Hi Siddharth,

I am using C2000Ware_2.01.00 version . I tried few things on my own and able to obtain following but usb is still not working ,Is it because of the version I am using (as suggested by the link send previously).Also ,g_eCurrentUSBMode is stuck on eUSBModeDevice , I think the program is not entering the host mode at all

Can you try with C2000Ware version 4.01.00.00?

As suggested in the above link that I shared earlier, there was a bug in "usb_ex7_host_msc_cm" example which was fixed .

Hi Siddharth,

As suggested I tried with c20004.0.1 and latest compiler version but I am unable to reset it to 28378d , by default 28377d is fixed, Have tried several ways to change it but nothing worked

Drishti,

You will need to update the projectspec file and change the device="TMS320F28377D" to device="TMS320F28378D" .

Then you can reimport the project into CCS.

Siddharth,

Ya I updated then debugged it. Initially there were some errors while working with ram file so switched to flash but it didnt worked so tried by expanding memory in RAM cmd file but it didnt worked out as well . Following are screenshots for your reference

Drishti,

Can you single step through the code and debug the issue? You can put a breakpoint at f_mount() and step through the code and check the return value of this function.

Yes. we have validated the example on TMS320F28379D and TMS320F28388D. It works fine.

Siddharth,

Steps followed while execution:

1. Changed project specs and re import it
2. Changed the properties to compiler version 21.6.0 LTS
3. Changed the debugger to xds2xx usb debug probe
4. Included FLASH and INLINE as predefined symbols
5. Run the example
6. Debugged it
7. The output was not desired so debugged it step by step
8. Its stuck in function called ReadLine as it is unable to enumerate the mass storage device and enter the loop.
