TMS320F28069: Can TMS320F28069 modify the slope value through the Ramp Generator?

Part Number: TMS320F28069

I am working on the COT control in the Buck circuit, considering the Ramp Generator in the comparator module in the TMS320F28069 to generate the slope compensation signal.

See in the Q&A below:

e2e.ti.com/.../639644

"Datasheet says the reference 12-bit DAC uses the most significant 12 bits of the RAMPSTS countdown register as its input. The low 4 bits of the RAMPSTS countdown register effective act as a prescale for the falling-ramp rate configurable with RAMPDECVALA."

In this case, the lower 4 bits of the RAMPSTS register can be used to modify the slope value. However, I have not found this in the user manual of TMS320F28069.

Now I want to ask the following questions:

1. Can TMS320F28069 modify the slope value through the above registers?

2. How is the slope value range calculated?

  • user5805962,

The primary documents for F2806x are the datasheet and TRM.

The datasheet provides high-level information and performance specifications.  The TRM provides detailed information for features and register definitions.

You will want to reference the TRM for more information on how the ramp generator behaves.
