Good morning,
I am currently working with the Dev board and have been using it for prototyping. However, for our senior design project, we have to make our own PCB and put the MCU on it. We have made schematics in Eagle and developed the first version of our board. Based off of schematics we found of the Dev board. We are just wondering what are the 0 ohm resistors used for? It is part of the JTAG interface. They are highlighted in yellow on the schematic found below. We are very confused as to what they are doing.
Hello Johnathon,
Launchpad has different power domains to achieve JTAG isolation. For more details pls refer to sec 5.2 from this link .
From the schematics of Rev 2.0 (\boards\LaunchPads\LAUNCHXL_F28379D\R2.0), I see these resistors are NI (Not Install) since it supports isolation configurations 1,2 via JP1 and JP2.
Hope that helps !
