Hi expert,
I'd like to have answer of below two questions:
1. Does the LIN controller have message based or byte level Tx Rx behavior?
2. Please provide a diagram showing how the LIN controller samples the data (i.e., 3 samples at tq 7, 8 and 9, 1 sample at tq 8, etc.)
Thanks
Sheldon
Hi Sheldon,
I am not sure what you mean by message based, LIN transmits/receives data in bytes.
I am not sure what you mean by 3 samples at tq 7, 8 and 9? Also, not sure what diagram you are looking for in terms of data sampling?
LIN message frame has a protocol, with a start and stop bit, along with data and PID. All of it is explained in the TRM, do you want to know how to calculate baud rate?
Regards,
Nirav
Hi Nirav,
Thanks for your reply!
As for the second question, we need design level information on how voltage level is qualified/sampled internally in the LIN module. It could be some digram like "Figure 27-4. Asynchronous Communication Bit Timing" in device datasheet.
Thanks
Sheldon
