MSP430F147: hex-file compatible to MSP430F1471 (or MSP430F148/MSP430F149)

Part Number: MSP430F147
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: , MSP430F149, MSP430F148

Hi,

our electronic manufacture had at the moment problems to order the MSP430F147IRTDR.

Now we have the question what is the difference between MSP430F147 and MSP430F1471.
It is possible to use here the same hex-file?

Also if it is possible to use here the controller with more memory MSP430F148 and/or MSP430F149?

Best regards,

  • Hi Marc,

One major difference between the F147 and F1471 is that ADC12 isn't implemented on the F1471, and as a result, 100% hex/binary compatibility isn't guaranteed. If ADC12 isn't being used, then the devices should be binary compatible. However, it's up to the customer to check and test that their software meets their application requirements.

Regarding the F148/F149, other than differences in memory size, the devices should be the same. You can refer to this thread for more details [link].

    Thanks,
