Hello,
I've bought 2 ez430 rf2500 development kits, and I have a problem with one of them : the USB FET is not recognized by windows (no "found new hardware wizard", no sound when I plug or unplug it, no device or COM port in the device manager so I can't program anything with it and I tried on 2 computers (win7 64bits and winXP 32bits). The other one is working correctly (I see the COM port in the device manager, and I'm able to reprogram the target board, no error message.
Do you have any idea of what could be the problem ? Could it be the firmware of the USB FET ?
Regards
Florian
Florian,
Do you see anything wrong on the board( misaligned ICs, solder bridges)?
Does anything heat up on the board? Try the EZ430 programmer without the target board and cross test the target boards.
Gustavo
the board seems to be ok.
I've tried to switch the target boards, and it is still the same result, and the EZ430 programmer that doesn't work is still the same. And the target boards seem to work on both programmer (the LED blink the same way).
Florian
