eZ430-RF2500 not recognized

I am facing problems with the eZ430-RF2500 kit.  The device is not recognized on being plugged in. The Application UART doesn't install and there is no device detected by the operating system. 

I have already tried

  1. it on various operating systems (XP, Vista, Windows 7 & 8 - Both x86 and x64)
  2. downloading the UART provided by a few people on the internet. 
  3. the Simple install of the UART also does not detect device. 
  4. to piggy back the trans-receiver with the MSP430 launchpad. I am unable to program through piggy backing as well. 
  5. I also tried to upgrade the emulator firmware by using the FET JTAG-USB interface. There again, the device won't get recognized by CCS or third party flashers like ElProtronic. 

A friend of mine also bought the development tool along with me is facing the same problems. I have tried the same steps on his device as well. Kindly HELP. Stuck on this for a long time now !!!
