I have an XDS110ET and I want to use energytrace just as a current sensor for an ESP32 board (powering ESP32 board off the 3.3V output pin on the XDS110ET 20P connector)
Is this doable? I've gotten *some* good traces but sometimes the 3.3V line gets overloaded and everything cuts off. What is the maximum current that can be sourced from the 3.3V pin on the XDS110ET, and is there a way to use energytrace while powering the DUT off a different power source?
Hi emc_vish,
The XDS110ET LaunchPads will have the same maximum current capabilities as the TMDSEMU110-U, which is to say Energytrace can measure the consumption of a target board up to 75mA natively. With the TMDSEMU110-ETH add-on it is capable of up to 800mA. The XDS110 must supply the target power for accurate EnergyTrace current consumption measurements.
Regards,
Ryan
