Hi team,

I am working on the EMDC and EVM430-F6779.

I followed the guidelines (From Design Center GUI) and programmed the HID bridge which is the MSP-EXP430F5529LP using the UniFlash connected to the GUI. I can only see the text "HID Connected" at the bottom left of the GUI in EMDC.

but in the setup guide it is showing as

I tried multiple steps but didn't get the above mentioned display.

I tried to check the results below is mentioned in the guidelines

the below is the what it displayed to me

checking the results tab in guidelines it is shown as below

for me it is showing empty tabs as below

this below is the connection i am using to configure the EVM to EMDC without using isolation board as i am not giving external power 230V to the EVM.

What else should I check to properly configure the EVM to EMDC?

You need to reprogram the E-meter with the code generated by EMDC

Hi Eason,

Thank you for your support.

I reprogrammed the E-meter and using UniFlash & ez-Lite debugger i flashed the generated code to the EVM board. The program loaded successfully.

but after above step now my LCD display on the board is blank (Not showing anything). with multi-meter i can see the 3.3V power coming from HID bridge

What ever provided in the guidelines i followed even it is not showing the values in the above.

can you guide me in the proper way so that i can program the EVM and bring it up

1. The code will not have LCD dispaly funciton.

2. I would suggest you check the hardware setting:

Whether the UART port is right.
Whether you can see signal on the UART input at MCU side.

Hi Eason,

1. The code will not have LCD dispaly funciton.

A. When I bought the EVM board and connected the power the LCD is in working condition, after flashing the default code into the board the LCD display function is missing, How to include the LCD display function into the source, and where i can find the source code of the EVM430-F6779?

The E-meter code in this doc is an old version. I would suggest you refer to the EMDC.
