Hi,
Is there any sample UART driver for MSP430F2410? We want to configure and read UBS message from U-BLox GNSS M8ZOE evaluation board using MSP430 evaluation board via UART.. Is there any sample code that configures the u-blox via UART?
Thanks

Hi Shobha,
We don't have specific example code for communicating with a u-blox via UART. However, there are examples showing how to configure the MSP430F2410 UART.
You can find lots of peripheral example code for the F2410 in the TI Resource Explorer (TIREX). I looked at the UART examples and think this one is probably the closest to what you are looking for. It is a UART echo example which means data it receives in to the UART it sends back out, but you can use this a starting point.
Ultimately you will need to add additional code to send/receive data with the u-blox.
Hi Dennis,
Thanks for the quick response. Is there any MSPDRVLIB like this one for MSP430F2410?
Thanks
Hi Shobha,
Absolutely. Just a couple of questions. I'll assume you need at least 56K of FLASH memory, based on the F2410, correct?
Which package QFP or QFN and same number of pins, more, less than F2410 ?
Any other special features are important such as 12-bit ADC, HW multiplier?
SPI, UART, I2C and if so how many for each?
Number of timers?
Hi Shobha,
Ok, understand. I took a look at all of the driverlib supported families and tried to see if possible to use any of the driver functions, but no luck. The MSP430F2410 peripherals are older and not supported by the driverlib libraries. At the very least, you can use the peripheral examples for this family located at ti.com/dev These are not full drivers, only examples like how to setup a run a timer or UART, etc.
My only other suggestion would be to search E2E or elsewhere on the internet for a solution.
