MSP430F248: Undocumented IFG1

I checked UG, MSP430F2xx, MSP430G2xx Family User's Guide (Rev. K)

I checked data sheet: MSP430F23x, MSP430F24x(1), MSP430F2410 Mixed Signal Microcontroller datasheet (Rev. I)

I think there is no function on Bits 7, 6, and 5

Edit2: After taking a closer look at it, it appears the register is reading correctly.  The RAM appears to be the issue.  i.e. Read IFG1, save it to RAM  The debugger is telling me IFG1=0x02  and RAM= 0xC2  When I read the RAM again from the program,... it also reads as 0xC2.

Any guess as to why the RAM write is wrong?  (Is there something special about the RAM in this chip?  Does it need to be setup?)

according to user guide, bit 7-2 and bit 0 of IFG1 register are not defined (R or W or R/W) on this document. The description is "These bits may be used by other modules. See device-specific data sheet"

So, we check again on data sheet, there is no more description on IFG1.

So, I think we need only bit level operation (OFIFG bit of IFG1) on the software.
