EVM430-FR6047: What do LED1 through LED3 mean?

Part Number: EVM430-FR6047

We have purchased the EVM430-FR6047 evaluation board and downloaded all the documents that describe the operation of the board. But there are 3 LEDs on the board labelled LED1, LED2, and LED3. The documentation doesn't say anythong about what these LEDs are for.

The problem we are having is that my laptop can successfully connect to the eval board and successfully do an ADC capture using the USS. However, my coworker's laptop will connect to the HID bridge on the eval board but the USS just reports "HID Bridge Connected - waiting for device" and the ADC capture windows doesn't show any waveforms. On my laptop (the connection that seems to work porperly) LED3 stays lit up (red) while on my co-worker's laptop (the one that doesn't work) LED3 lights up red initially, but then goes dark (turnsoff).

Can somebody tell me what those LEDs are indicating to the operator?

  • Hi,

LED1 and 2 is not cared. You can find it the the code where it gets called for what function. You can search "hal_system_LEDOn(HAL_SYS_LED_1);" in code.

If LED3 is lit, this indicates an error. Connecting to the GUI will show the error in the errors tab. If the error is "No signal detected in up and downstream channel", refer to Section 4.3 to ensure a proper signal is obtained.

    Best regards,

    Cash Hao
