Hello friends,
I’m trying to blink a msp430fr5969 using msp430-gcc as my compiler and msp430 Flash as my mcu software programmer. I'm on windows 10, using no IDE (C, Visual Studio Code, makefile).

My makefile is creating a blink.elf file, but when I run ‘make install.blink’ I receive the following error:


I suspect that my problem is in the installation instructions of my makefile:

Apparently I don't know the appropriate programmer (flasher?) command and/or possibly the driver (tilib) is incorrect (or missing) - I'm just following online code instruction for a basic blink.

Please pardon my ignorance and help me to learn.

    Hello Joe, 

    I want to confirm with you about below points:

    1). What kind of debugger/ programmer did you use? MSP-FET430UIF, or MSP-FET?

    2). The "msp430 Flash" you mentioned in the post is the "MSP430 Flasher. exe" ?

    3). Maybe you can try to download an IDE (such as CCS which can be download from ti.com) on your PC, and use a debugger (MSP-FET) to do further code writing and debugging.
