Hi,

Im a engineering student and we were given a TI launchpad for the msp430FR5969 to learn about assembly. When I try to debug a code i keep getting

error initializing emulator:
One of the connected MSP-FETs / eZ-FETs debuggers needs recovery. Select 'Recover' to start the recovery process.

Note: Only one MSP-FET / eZ-FET debugger can be connected to your system during recovery.

and it tells me to recover but when i try to i get this

MSP430: Error: MSP-FET / eZ-FET recovery failed

How can i fix this?

Hi,

This is the error.

After i try to recover i get "MSP430: Error initializing emulator: MSP-FET / eZ-FET recovery failed"

Do you have another lauchpad? You may need to reprogram the debugger manually.

No. But i tried on another pc and it worked there, and when i try it on my own pc again it was still not working, just for more info about my situation.

OK. I would suggest you to reinstall the CCS and make a try again. Make sure the CCS is installed in the default address.
