I have a question about msp430fe427

I use MSP430FE427  to do a meter .

    The peak voltage over the shunt resistor mus tnot exceed 0.5V for optimum performance. When the peak voltage exceeds 0.6V, clipping occurs. And when it exceeds 1V, damage may occur.

    other than that, it's up to you to pick an apropriate CT and shunt. 2000A:5A is an option as good as a 10mA:10mA CT. Only the shunt that turns the secondary current into a voltage for AD conversion must be selected properly.

    In our applicaiton (not this MSP, but it makes no difference), we use a 400A:66mA CT as well as a 100A:33mA and a 2000A:1V Rogowski sensor. The only thing that differs is the shunt resistor: 7,5Ohms, 15Ohms (actually 2*7.5 with a middle contact for both) or a 100k voltage divider for the Rogowski

    And we have built special versions with a 2000:5A CT with a 0.1Ohms 2,5W shunt.
