Team,

my customer is asking for a solution to trim/calibrate the DCO on MSP430FR6989 since there is no FLL to use for this purpose.

We do have the Using the DCO Library App Note which suggest using the DCO library for non-FLL devices like 1xx and 2xx devices (last update 2007).

Is this the way to go for FR6989 as well?
Are the FRxxxx devices at all custom trimmable (this thread suggest differernly).

    Hi FRAMziskus,

    The MSP430FR6989 has a fixed-frequency DCO with 10 selectable factory-trimmed frequencies: 1, 2.667, 3.5, 4, 5.333, 7, 8, 16, 21, and 24 MHz, all with an allowance of +/-3.5% (Table 5-6 of the Datasheet). But there is no way to further tune the DCO frequency like with the MSP430F1xx/2xx devices.
