Hello,

I want to update the firmware of my wireless sensor nodes over the air .Sensor nodes are designed by using CC1120 and MSP430FR2433.So can i buy ez430 development kit so that i can update the firmware of my sensor nodes using its control center application.According to below application note.

Can i implement the same procedure for updating firmware of my sensor nodes over the air?Please provide me any proper documentation or source codes so that i can buy it and start its implementation.

Hello Pavan,

You should refer to MSP430FRBoot (SLAA721) for CC11xx OTA updates on MSP430 FRAM devices.

Hello Ryan ,

I have already read that FRboot series manual .But my question is just shall i buy ez430 development kit and will it be beneficial and whether it will be useful for my application or not?

Hi Pavan,

I recommend investing in 430BOOST-CC110L and MSP-EXP430FR4133 tools instead of the EZ430-CHRONOS. The Wireless Updater Control Center GUI used in SLAA511 is only intended for the MSP-EXP430FR5739 and will not work for your MSP430FR4133 devices.

Hello Ryan ,
I have not mentioned MSP430FR4133 in my question.I have MSP430FR2433 interfaced with CC1120 in our prototype board.So suggest me the best way to update firmware over the air for prototypes board so that i can use the control center application which is already available and i need not invest more time on firmware development and if no then tell me the best possible way for writing firmware for receiving (node)side prototype boards

My recommendations remain the same, MSP430FRBoot will need to be ported to your MSP430FR2433 device.
