MSP430F2122: eZ-FET Lite - Error connecting to the target

Hi,

I connect SBW signals of eZ-FET Lite (MSP-EXP430F5529LP) to MSP430F2122 which install to my board. The ccs flash failed to F2122, it will show "Error connecting to the target:Unknown device". I have another different board which install F5325, use same method (SBW) can programming success without error.

My question is "Can eZ-FET Lite (MSP-EXP430F5529LP) support MSP430F2122" ? I don't have MSP-FET to verify this question. So, hope can get answer from here. Thanks in advance.

Table 1. Debug Probes Features and Device Compatibility in the MSP Debuggers User's Guide shows that the eZ-FET Lite supports all programmable MSP430 and CC430 devices with a Spy-Bi-Wire (SBW) interface, so it should work with a MSP430F2122.

How have you connected the MSP430F2122 to the eZ-FET Lite?

Hi Chester,

Thanks for reply. See below image for Spy-Bi-Wire interface of my PCB. The JTAG_TEST pin connect to SBW TST pin of SBW board, JTAG_RST pin connect to SBW RST pin of SBW board. I have tried to change C24 value to 2.2nF but still failed.

Hi,
I found the pin1 of F2122 should be DVss, but TI provide MSP430F2122_RTV_32.bxl CAD file show pin1 is DVcc. However according to datasheet pin1 is DVss. After correct this HW error, the eZ-FET Lite can flash code without problem.
