MSP430F2274: with CAN

Hello ,

I wish to use this micro-controller to communicate with the ECU, but i found that it does not include CAN Transceiver ,or channel for CAN . How shall I resolve this problem ? . shall I use other Micro-controller for my application.

Hi Bhargav,

you 're correct MSP430 devices does not have a CAN transceiver module implemented if you really need I recommend another TI MCU with CAN e.g.

- TM4C12x family
- TMS320 family
- F28M3x Microcontrollers

Thank you Dietmar ,

I will look into it.

The application is something similar to " Cranking simulator for Automotive". For which the MSP430F2274 is used along with TPS40170. I am working on similar application to simulate this pulses and thereby sending them to ECU .

I hope I find one MCU with similar properties like that of MSP430 one ..
