Hi Frank,

If you mean cards like SD or MMC, then any device with SPI should be able to support it. We have an appnote written on this for F161x, but it applies to all devices with a little code porting. http://www.ti.com/lit/slaa281

Hi Frank,

MSP-EXP430FR5994 LaunchPad comes with a microSD slot and an 8 GB card inside.
Even FatFS on SD cards is supported by one of Ti libraries.
Buy & try.

But there is big difference between SD card and CF card.

I think SD and MMC are mucn more easy to use than CF card.

TI provides bridges like:
TUSB9261 USB 3.0 to SATA Bridge,
TUSB6250 USB 2.0 to ATA/ATAPI Bridge Controller.

Not my world.
