MSP430F1232: is It ok to connect XOUT pin to Ground on the RHB package?

I do not think there is a reason but somehow they just did it in the design and the products have been shipped to their customer.

Customer already has had the XOUT connected to GROUND and they want to understand the impact.

Test result shows 10uA current increase if ground XOUT pin when OSCOFF bit is set to default(0).

So please disable LFXT1 by setting OSCOFF if don't use this clock.

Thanks. Based on your description, having XOUT pin ground would possible increase the current consumption by 10uA which is up to OSCOFF boy. But it shall not impact the device’s functionalities and reliability
