I would like someone to suggest an MSP430 that would be ideal for my application.
The key thing is that I need to digitize audio data, compress it and store it in non-volatile memory (preferably on-board memory) for extraction later. I would like to store between 30 seconds and 3 minutes of audio 4 kHz audio data. For 3 minutes that would be approximately 720 kbytes of 8 bit memory. I figure with compression I might be able to reduce that to 128 kbytes, although I'm not sure.
Anyway, I need an MSP430 with about that much on-board memory. I would also like to use an MSP430 for which I can obtain a Launchpad eval board.
