There have been quite a few changes to the software since this post which is why they did not drop in directly with the latest software package. I have made the appropriate updates to the files which can be dropped into the project. See attached.
Please note that param 1 in the GUI was used previously to set the transducer pair. As we are now using param 1 in the latest GUI, I have changed this to param 10.

If I understand the Рaram #10 determines the number of transducer pairs.
If the number of transducers is 2, then the Рaram #10 = 1.
If the number of transducers is 4, then the Рaram #10 = 2.

That is correct. The param 10 value should be equal to the number of transducer pairs.

You want to connect as shown in your second picture as the R and C of the EVM should not be connected.
