Hi All,
I have a serious problem with the MSPFlasher program on Linux. I have used successfully the program version 1.3.10 over a long time. I had to upgrade to 1.3.20. With this version a firmware upgrade was needed. I got the following error:
* -----/|-------------------------------------------------------------------- *
* / |__ *
* /_ / MSP Flasher v1.3.20 *
* | / *
* -----|/-------------------------------------------------------------------- *
*
* Evaluating triggers...done

# Exit: 49
# ERROR: Could not find MSP-FET430UIF on specified COM port
* * ----------------------------------------------------------------------------
* Driver : closed (No error)

*/
After this the flasher was unuseable and further tries did not work:

# Exit: 49
# ERROR: MSP-FET / eZ-FET recovery failed

*/
Even with a new device I got the same errors. Now I have 2 not working flasher in my office. The serial number of the old flasher starts with 14... the nwe one starts with 19...
Any idea?
Sorry to bother you, I could solve the problem by installing UNIFlash. Both adapters are working now again.
Hey Karl,
It's never a bother when someone is able to solve their own issue before we even have a chance to read the question!
Have a good day!
