In the latest CCS,   Version: 10.2.0.00009   I get this error message:

MSP430: Error initializing emulator: One of the connected MSP-FETs / eZ-FETs debuggers needs recovery. Select 'Recover' to start the recovery process. Note: Only one MSP-FET / eZ-FET debugger can be connected to your system during recovery.

(I now select 'RECOVER'):


MSP430: Error: MSP-FET / eZ-FET recovery failed

The was originally plugged into a USB3 hub; now it is connected directly to the Thinkpad P70's USB port (no hubs).   Same result.  Windows 10, latest updates.

I obviously cannot d/l even the simple 'blink an LED' app (although it compiles just fine).

How should I recover from this situation?

    Cou you see the below Comx port in PC device manager?

    Maybe the driver install error, or the board was broken, you can use another PC to try again.

    Before I installed CCS, there were two COM ports as you show.  The demo with the analog light sensor and LED output worked fine.  Then, I installed CCS and loaded the flashing LED demo (very simple).  Program compiled, but when attempting to download, got the message that the emulator needed to have updated code; and then it tried to update the code, and failed.  Then when I said "debug this program" (the LED flasher program), the message described in my original message appeared.  I do have another board; I will try it also, and respond.  Thank you.
