MSP430F5437A: Need the reason why during flash write current consumption is reduced?

Hi,

We are doing segment erase in flash and after it is completed by checking busy bit, we are doing Byte-Word write, in data section .infoB.

We repeat the above 6 times and then giving a delay of 4 secs. During this delay of 4 secs it is consuming 10 mA and while erasing and writing it is consuming around 7 mA.

Is there any internal modules of MSP430 are switched off to execute Flash operation ? Please clarify what may be the reason for reduce in current consumption?

Ayyappan,

do me this sounds like the flash charge pump delivering the voltage for erase and program is still enabled. Maybe you can share the code for a more detailed check.

Also question is at which frequency you're operating when you consume 10mA.
