EVM430-FR6047: Connect the EVM to Tida-01486

Hello,

I´m not sure how to clamp the EVM to the Tida Board. Do I have to split the in- and output-channels from the EVM, remove R16/17 and C11/12? Or leave it and clamp them between the two boards?

My next Question is: I want to use only one pair of transducers. In this case I don´t need any multiplexers from the Tida reference-design, or am I wrong?

And whats about my second question?:

Hello Frank,

Yes, if you are only using 1 pair of transducers, you do not need any external mux. The mux in the reference design is used to connect more than 1 pair.

Frank,

R16/17 and C11/12 should be removed from the EVM since these are included in the TIDA board on J4.

When connecting the CHxIN and CHxOUT, you want to be sure that you are connecting directly to these signals. After R16 and C11 are removed, you can replace R16 with a zero ohm and connect at the J8 header for CH0OUT or leave R16 unpopulated and connect to the pad where R16 was. CH0IN can be connected to the TIDA board by connecting to the pad where C11 was populated. The same should be done for CH1.
