Hi Team,

Can you please check and advise with following request?

We have a design that uses TI's TDA4VM processor.

In TI's reference design, both PTPS659413F0RWERQ1 and TPS65941111RWERQ1 were used as PMICs.

We are also considering using the mnemonic structure, but we saw that TPS65941111RWERQ1 is ROHS while PTPS659413F0RWERQ1 is non-ROHS.

I have two questions for you about this, I would appreciate if you can help.

What are the main differences between the following variants of the TPS6594-Q1 with different part numbers? (PTPS659411F0RWERQ1, PTPS659413F0RWERQ1, PTPS659414F4RWERQ1

TPS65941111RWERQ1, TPS65941212RWERQ1)

I guess there are some differences from the factory set as one-time programmable. Is there a document listing them?

2-Can the material with the part number TPS65941212RWERQ1 (ROHS) be used instead of the material with the part number PTPS659413F0RWERQ1 (non-ROHS) in the sample design? If unavailable

Does ROHS production appear on the TI road map for PTPS659413F0RWERQ1?

Hello,

The differences between the part numbers PTPS659411F0RWERQ1, PTPS659413F0RWERQ1, and PTPS659414F4RWERQ1 can be found in the associated user guide descriptions.

TPS65941111RWERQ1 and TPS65941212RWERQ1 description is found here.

As described in the users guide the devices are intended to be used as pairs. These specific devices cannot be mixed or interchanged. They must be used with the specific part.

Please be advised that the devices denoted with a 'P', PTPS659411F0RWERQ1, PTPS659413F0RWERQ1 and PTPS659414F4RWERQ1, will not go to production. These products were provided for early customer development.

The latest TDA4VM processor design recommendation is the PTPS65941213 and TPS65941111. Please work with the processor team to ensure you have the latest power distribution network information.

Hi Chris,

I have two questions regarding your answer:

1) You mentioned that the latest recommendation uses PTPS65941213 + TPS65941111.
On the other hand I couldn't see TPS65941213 or PTPS65941213 neither in TI web site nor in TPS6594-Q1 datasheet "Orderable Device" table.
Is the part with this part number (TPS65941213/PTPS65941213) orderable?

2) In your answer you shared a link of a User's guide - "Dual TPS6594-Q1 PMIC User Guide for Jacinto 7 DRA829 and TDA4VM Automotive PDN-0B".
Is there another document that describes PDN-0C(recommended for new designs)?
If not, can we use this PDN-0B document to achieve PDN-0C by keeping all connections same and just replacing TPS65941212 with TPS65941213 (considering it is orderable)?
