Hi,

We have using the BQ24072TRGTT part in our project. We are using a 4.2 V Li-ion battery in our device. We are charging for a long time but the battery was not attained the 4.2 V and the battery attained the 4.1 V maximum. How could we get the 4.2 V in battery voltage?

Hi,

Can you share the schematic so we can confirm the configuration is correct? If the device is in fast charge for a long time, the safety timers could be expiring. A solution could be to increase the set fast charge or extend the safety timer within the datasheet specifications.

Hi Kodishwaran,

I don't see any major issues with the schematic. I do notice that there are resistors also attached to the BAT pin (R1113 and R116). Is it possible to remove that changes anything? I don't expect it to since it is in parallel but it may be affecting how the device is detecting the battery.

What is the status of the /CHG pin and the /PG pin? Is it possible to see a waveform of the two signals over time?
