TPS65217: TPS65217(Failing to generate 3.3V at LD04)

Part Number: TPS65217

Hello,

We are using the TPS65217 in one of our design, We have given the input power supply voltage of 5V  to TPS65217 from an Isolated DC-DC module.

The input power to the isolated DC-DC module supplied by TPSM84209RKH - 5V.

TPS65217 suppose to generate the 3V3 at LDO4 pin which is failing to generate instead, 4.22V is generated on LDO4 pin.,

Please help me in debugging the above problem.

Thanks & Regards

Ramesh

  • Hi Ramesh,

Thanks for reaching out! Could you please provide the information below so I can provide feedback for the debug?

    • What is the full TPS65217x orderable part number that you are using?
    • What processor or SoC are you powering?
    • Do you have a bypass capacitor on LDO4? What is the cap value?
    • What load is connected to the LDO4?
    • Could you provide a scope capture from the power up sequence showing the following 4 signals: LS2_IN (LDO4 input), LS2_OUT (LDO4 output), the output rail that goes high before LDO4 and the output rail that goes high after LDO4 in the power-up sequence.
    • Could you provide a scope capture of the power path signals (AC, USB, VBAT, VSYS)?

    Thanks,

    Brenda
