UCD90160: How to read checksum value of UCD90xxx?

Part Number: UCD90160

Dear team,

I want to read UCD90160 device checksum value and follow below E2E step.

But when input address 0x17FFC for reading checksum, I cannot get the result. Could you share comments to fix this issue? Thanks.

Hi

Please read 32bit instead of 8bit

also ox17FFC is not a valid address for the checksum.

Why do you want to read?

if the checksum is not right. Device will not function as normal

You do not need to read checksum to find this

Hi Yihe,

We want to check our off-line programming is ok from factory side. So I would like to read checksum value and compare this with the vale from factory side.

Hi

Customers shall not program the firmware since TI already preload during the manufacturing stage.

Why does the customer want to check the firmware checksum?

Hi Yihe,

We faced to off-line programming issue on factory side, but can work normal after on-line programmed by our GUI.

And we want to compare the difference between this two to find the root cause.

Hi Yihe,

Follow up this question, we read "data flash config checksum" is 0xFFFFFFFF. Does that mean device is empty?

Hi

We may have different understanding of the firmware.

From TI, the firmware is the code pre-loaded by TI and customer shall not program or touch it.

what do you mean firmware? is it the same as TI's understanding or your firmware means that it is the configuration file generated from GUI.
