TPS543C20: Voltage Droop at High Load Current

Part Number: TPS543C20

Dear TI Team,

We are using TPS543C20 stacked regulators in dual phase configuration in our board.  We have connected digital load to validate the PDN characteristics.

Currently on the board we have disabled the slave IC and currently only 1 IC is being used. The output voltage is configured for 0.8V and when we run test for high current, a voltage droop of more than 100mV is observed.

Please find the attached image for your reference.

What might be the reason for such high droop.

Kindly provide your input on the same.

Thanks & Regards,

Vyshnav Krishnan

  • Hi Vyshnav,

What load current does the problem show up at? Does the same issue occur when the second device is enabled? Please share the schematic and layout for TPS543C20 on your board if possible and I will do my best to assist

    Best regards,
    Britton
