Part Number: TPS536C7EVM-051
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS536C7

Hi Team,

A cusotmer purchased a DC/DC step down TPS536C7EVM.
He is currently checking the output status,
there is output of Vout A but there is no output of vout B.
We do not have EVM to fix this issue,
Could you please help them how to fix no output of the Vout B ?

Please find his EVM JP setting and output monitoring for more details in the attachment.
Thank you for your assistance.

  • Hi Frank,

It looks like rail 2 is disabled. If you open the device config in Fusion, you should be able to add two phases to the B rail.

After setting TPS536C7 in Fusion to a 10+2 config, pressing "write to hardware", & resetting the device power, you should see the second rail become available in Fusion.

Once your rail 2 settings are written to hardware & NVM, the second rail should regulate after a restart.

    Thanks,

    Travis

  • Hi Travis,

Output B is Okay now, Thank you for your assistance.

I still don't understand the settings of TPS536C7. Can you help me?

Observing The multi-stage corresponding waveform of Vout_A.

In the process of changing phase settings in Phase Configuration,

PWM only comes out from TP31.

The place where this state wants to be the 12 Phase is not that.

Send the oscilloscope picture of the current output state.

    Yellow:VOUT_ A Green:PWM1 Red:PWM2

Is the status of the phase configuration an attachment, and is there any incorrect?

Please tell me the best setting and handling method for setting the number of phase.

    Thanks a lot.

    Regards,

    Frank

  • Hi Travis,

can you take some time to confirm this issue?

    Thanks.

  • Hi Frank,

Phase config should look like this to put two phases on channel B.

    Thanks,

    Travis

  • Hi Travis,

According to the phase config settings you contacted a few days ago,

the multi-stage action cannot be confirmed, and only PWM1 generates PWM waveform.
Can I ask you to the setting order of Fusion GUI from the beginning?
It would be better if there were a detailed manual on the function and operation of Fusin GUI.
Because the customer bought this evaluation for the first time, there are some unclear points.
Please confirm the following detailed questions.
