Need suggestion/part for power supply load sharing

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS2412, LM74700-Q1

Hi Ti,

I'm looking for a solution or component for my redundant power supply load sharing.

I need to parallel my two SMPS (19" rack card) boards in a redundant configuration.

Each SMPS's are capable to power the entire system individually, but with almost 90%+ load which lead to heating issue. I like to share the loads equally by both SMPS's when both are in good condition, so that I can reduce the heat by sharing the power 50-50. If any one SMPS fails the other SMPS will power the system for shorter period.

I'm already using the ORing circuit which connecting any one SMPS at a moment or not sharing the load equally, so one of the SMPS is heating too much and another SMPS remains cool.

The size of the SMPS very important here. So I don't have too many alternatives. So I can't select a higher rating SMPS to operate it cooler with single SMPS itself.

My SMPS voltage is 24V and the total power consumption of the system is 25W.

Please suggest any circuit or ORing controller with load sharing capability.

Thanks in advance.
