UCC5870-Q1: just can configure one UCC5870-Q1 on UCC5870QDWJEVM-026 board

Part Number: UCC5870-Q1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: UCC5880-Q1

Dears:

When customer test EVM-026 board ,they found it can just configure one UCC5870-Q1, another one always shows Driver is in reset state and BIST is running, Could you please help check how to configure another UCC5870-Q1 ?

customer want to have 026 board software source code ,then they can use it in their MCU to help accelerate development, Could you please help share it to customer ? Thanks.

  • Hi Haiwen,

Built-in self-test (BIST) is the diagnostics for VCC1, VCC2, VEE2, and internal regulator UV/OV monitoring functions, and main clocks.

If BIST has not completed, it means that there is not VCC2 power for the second Gate drive. Can you probe an make sure it has the correct voltages?

Also can you share who the customer is and what they are testing? I would strongly recommend UCC5880-Q1. It is a more robust, updated version of UCC5870 with some new features as well. We also have the EVM and GUI to support the customers test. Along with that, we have a CDD(Complex Device Driver) to support the software SPI development of the customer. The CDD will also be released by the end of this year and will make it very simple to develop the SPI code for UCC5880-Q1.

    Regards,

  • Akshat:

customer board is ready so they need finish test based on UCC5870-Q1, next version  is ok to change to UCC5880-Q1.

I will check the VCC2 to see if it can solve this issue.

Could you please help share the UCC5870-Q1 software souring code ? Thanks.

  • Hi Haiwen,
