TPS40131: 24v Vin 20V Vout and 50A Iout device recommendation

Part Number: TPS40131
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LM5119, LM25119

Hi Team,

Could you possible help to recommend a device which could support 24V input voltage and 20V output voltage with output current working between 20A~50A. Thanks a lot for your recommendation.

Best regards

Jie

  • Hello,

TPS40131 current sense amplifier inputs CS1, CSRT1, CS2 and CSRT2 absolute max voltage is 6V. CSRT1 and CSRT2 common mode is the output voltage. At 20V output, these pins can not be directly connected, and they need a voltage divider to GND. Due to bias current, the voltage divider can create additional offset voltage.

I believe LM5119/LM25119 is better to use in this application. The current sense amplifier inputs common mode is GND.

I hope this answers your question.
