Flyback Circuit - 02.21.24.pdf
I am having problems with what I think is overcurrent on the the IC that causes it to break down after some amount of time. I have broken the trace on my board and added a wire to measure the current on the VCC pin of the IC. I am also measuring the voltage at the CS pin with an oscilloscope.
These are the values I am seeing with the attached schematic:
I_VCC:
- Max = 168mA
- RMS = 16.68mA
V_CS:
- Max = 1.68V
- RMS = 332mV
Based on the datasheet, the current at VCC is WAY too high (it should be <30mA) and the voltage at CS is higher than 1V. What can I do to decrease this current and voltage to ensure safe operation with this IC?
