BQ28Z610: Need to wait between read/write for AltManufacturerAccess ()?

Part Number: BQ28Z610

Hi all,

My customer want to repeat Read- > Write- > Read... via AltManufacturerAccess().

The customer says he can't read/write unless he puts a wait of about 10msec for 2 and 100msec for 4.

Q1 Is it correct to understand that I need to put a wait here? What is the recommended wait time?

Q2 Please let me know if there is an application note about it. It doesn't seem to be written in the BQ28Z610 TRM or Gauge Communication documentation.

1. Read via AltManufacturerAccess()

2. Wait

3. Write via AltManufacturerAccess()

4. Wait

5. Read via AltManufacturerAccess()

Best Regards,

Ryusuke

  • Hi Ryusuke,

    When writing and reading from the ManufacturerAccess() and AltManufacturerAccess(), there needs to at least needs to be a 100 ms wait between when the write command has been sent to the read command.
