Hi,

Our customer plan to use TPS2592AA to prevent inrush current and over voltage at hot-plugging event. Then they're concerning damage for TPS2592AA if VIN is connected first before GND. Please refer attached and give your comments.

It will depend on the system (if there are other voltage rails or signals present in the system at hot plug, it's advised to have the device referenced to ground first). For the attached schematic where the connector power's a load only, we do not see an issue.

You can try ordering an EVM and evaluate its performance on your system.

Hi Darwin-san,

Thank you for your response. Let me add the information of our customer's system. As you guess, some control signal lines are also connected via connector as attached, but they are not used for TPS2592AA. So I believe that it will not damage for TPS2592AA. Is my understanding correct?
