TPS92692: Confirm schematic

Part Number: TPS92692

Hi

Input voltage range is 9V~36V, normally working at 12V or 24V.

Output  is 19.5V/1A.

Please help to confirm schematic and component parameters.

Is it necessary to modify?

Thank you

Jerry

  • Hi Jerry,

From my initial review, R8 should be 0 Ohm to begin with and raising it in EMI testing if needed.  R8 gate resistance of 100 Ohm is also quite high.

You also do not need R4 or VR1 since this is taken care of the the PDRV of the TSPS92692 already.  With DIM/PWM input is being pulled high you will not need to have R13 unless you are PWM'ing.

4.7nF (C24) seems to be high for a snubber and I would recommend using 470pF to begin with.

What is the part number for L3 or saturation current of L3?

    Thanks Tuan

  • Hi Tuan

Below is the L3 currently selected.

I choose the 47uH to test first. If the temperature is too high, I will choose 33uH.

BTW, C9 and C12 is use MLCC instead of electrolytic capacitors. Is that ok?

    Thank you

    Jerry

  • Hi Jerry,

Please let me have a few days to verify this for you...Thanks Tuan
  • Hi Tuan,

    OK, thank you very much.
  • Hi Jerry,

For your application you should use a 27uH inductor with 4.5A or greater current rating and C9, C12 can be ceramic caps. R10 should be 0.033 Ohm. R15 should be 7.5K for 1A current at the output. R14 should be 100K.

    Thanks Tuan
