TPS92692-Q1 schematic.pptxDear all.

It is going to apply 3 LEDs and DIM/PWM is going to be inputted 5V with enable input.

You will adjust the Duty with a PWM signal on the IADJ pin.

Output current will be 1.2A (max.) and duty will be 82% 1A.

  • Hi Mike,

Please use the spread sheet that we have on out TI website for the TPS92692 to help with your design.  You can also use the evaluation board to help you with the design.

One thing that I noticed from your design is the use of IADJ for PWM'ing the output current.  This is not the proper way to to this.  You need to use the DIM/PWM input to PWM the output current. To disable the part you will need to pull SS to ground with an open collector transistor or open drain FET.

C75 should be from D15 cathode to BATT_12V0.  Then have a 0.1uF from D15 cathode to ground for high frequencies.

    R144 and R147 should be 10 Ohm.

Please use the values of the excel spread sheet to calculate values for R138 and R145.  154 Ohm and 75.2 Ohm for these are too low of values and will have high power loss.

    Thanks Tuan
