Hello,
we also want to use the LM5069 as load switch.
Is it really recommended to leave the Timer & PWR pins open?
What happens with the current limit function and the timer function if they are connected to a resistor / capacitor anyway?
Best Regards,
Patrick
Hi Patrick,
To configure LM5069 as a simple ON/OFF load switch without overcurrent protection, you need to short VIN and SENSE pins to disable the overcurrent protection features. In that case, Timer & PWR functions will not be active as you are setting to ideally infinite OCP level with Rsns = 0 Ohm.
Best Regards, Rakesh
Hi Rakesh,
thanks for the reply.
I understnad that the RSns = 0R with a short from VIN to Sense.
But my question go to the resistor Rpwr and the capacitor Ctimer.
Is it ok to use e.g a 100kR resistor and a 100nF capacitor?
Best Regards,
Patrick
