AM625: Sizes of storage devices supported by RBL

Our customer wants to use SD card and eMMC and USB flash drive for AM62x and wants to know what is the maximum size supported by RBL (ROM bootloader) for each of the devices.

Does USB MSC boot support a USB flash drive with FAT32?

What is the maximum size supported in Filesystem mode for each of the devices with FAT32? Is it 2 TB?

What is the maximum size supported in Raw Mode for each of the devices? Is it 2 TB?

If these maximum sizes have not been validated, then the theoretical maximum sizes would be acceptable.

Daisuke, i don't think there are any size limits that the ROM imposes on the boot media. Let me double check with the ROM team.

The ROM does support FAT32 as a boot partition and should be able to boot from any size partition supported by FAT32. Note this has not been specifically tested by our ROM team.

Does the USB MSC boot really support a USB flash drive with FAT32?

It does not seem to describe in the TRM that the USB MSC boot supports file systems and it is not clear.

Yes, USB supports boot partitions as FAT32
