TMDXICE110: The ethercat application cannot switch to DC mode

Hi Team,

我用TMDXICE110去跑官方ethercat demo，Twincat连上之后，无法选择是工作在SM模式还是DC模式

这里的模式选择，应该是可以选择为SM模式或者DC模式的

查看COE ONline，发现应该是支持DC模式的：

I used TMDXICE110 to run the official ethercat demo. After Twincat was connected, I cannot choose whether to work in SM mode or DC mode.

The mode selection here should be SM mode or DC mode.

I checked the COE Online and find that it should support DC mode.

Could you tell me how to solve this problem?

Configuration details:

CCS version: 12.1.0

RTOS version: processor_sdk_rtos_am335x_6_03_00_106

Ethercat version: PRU-ICSS-EtherCAT_Slave_01.00.10.00

The demo that I ran: ethercat_slave_full_AMIC11x_arm

Hi

I have couple of questions

1. Have you followed all the steps mentioned in https://software-dl.ti.com/processor-industrial-sw/esd/docs/indsw/EtherCAT_Slave/01_00_10/PRU_ICSS_EtherCAT.html#ti-esc-slave-setup-with-twincat3? Especially step 2 about copying the ESI file.

2. Are you able to follow the steps from https://software-dl.ti.com/processor-industrial-sw/esd/docs/indsw/EtherCAT_Slave/01_00_10/PRU_ICSS_EtherCAT.html#starting-ethercat-application? These steps will use FreeRun/SM mode. For DC mode, you can follow the steps mentioned in https://software-dl.ti.com/processor-industrial-sw/esd/docs/indsw/EtherCAT_Slave/01_00_10/PRU_ICSS_EtherCAT.html#running-ethercat-application-in-dc-mode

Hi Dhaval,

The customer's issue was resolved. The ESI file was not copied to the twincat directory. But the online esi file was used, which enabled ethercat to run smoothly. This caused the illusion of a successful startup.
