Hello,
I am trying to utilize the AM6412 symbol in a new design, as found in the Ultra Librarian database below:
https://app.ultralibrarian.com/search?queryText=AM6412
I am using the Mentor software, Design Architect edition.
The problem has to do with the files for the functional pin ordering that I downloaded. When viewing the symbol, the first block appears in
sequential ordering (A1,A2 and so on) with a "1 of 5" denomination. The rest of the blocks appear in the correct formatting, however, the last
of them has a "7 of 8" denomination, as if the final block is actually missing.
It seems to me that there has been a mixup with the functional and sequential symbols of the component.
For the record, I have tried using all 4 variations of the component, for which the symbol is available for download.
Could you kindly provide the correct symbol for the specific component or advise some steps to troubleshoot the issue?
Thanks in advance!
Hello ALEXANDROS APOSTOLIDIS,
Thank you for the query.
Not sure if you attached any pictures.
I am using the Mentor software, Design Architect edition.
Can you please share the version.
Have you downloaded the database for the EVM and tried opening the design files.

Sreenivasa
Hello Sreenivasa,
I am Antonis and work together on the same project with Alexandros.
About your comments:
Can you please share the version.
We will get back to you with the exact version as we are expecting a response form the CAD department.
Have you downloaded the database for the EVM and tried opening the design files.
I did download the SK-AM64B design file packet and browsed the schematic. I noticed that the symbol for the processor is nothing like
the symbol that was generated from the files of Ultra Librarian, so that was not very helpful either. I am posting some pictures so that you can have a
look as well. I hope they are clear enough.
The 1st pic is the symbol zoomed out, and the next three are the zoomed in parts. You can see that I have highlighted the strange things
that Alex mentioned in his previous post. Any ideas why that would happen?
I am looking forward to your reply,
Thanks in advance,
Antonis
Hello Antonis,
Thank you for the inputs.
Let me check internally and update you.

Hello Antonis,
Could you please check if the below link works and verify the symbol.

Hello Antonis,
Checking if you had a chance to check the updated symbol?

Hello Sreenivasa,
Thanks for following up and sorry for the delay. It has been decided internally that we will continue with a custom-made symbol, so the CAD engineers
won't be reviewing the symbol you sent unfortunately.
I would consider this thread resolved for the time being. Is there a possibility to reopen it once the custom symbol is finished to ask for a review
or should I make a separate thread?
For the record, the version of Design Architect we are using is EN2002 service pack 4, in case you wish to investigate further if the original symbol
is indeed problematic.
Thank you for all the support.
Regards,
Antonis
Hello Antonis,
Thank you for the inputs.
You can use the same thread for some specific time after last conversation (30 day i guess).
I will close the thread for now.
