DM388: Yocto

Part Number: DM388
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: IPNC-RDK-CSK

Hi,

Good Day.

I'm working with a medical device that has the DM388 chip on it https://www.ti.com/product/DM388?keyMatch=DM388&tisearch=search-everything&usecase=GPN#support-training

The firmware of the device was programmed by an old partner with this https://www.ti.com/tool/IPNC-RDK-CSK

We found that system pretty outdated and we need some modern functionality.

We have found Yocto, is there any chance we can generate a Yocto distribution for that chip?

We have been looking at meta-ti layers but have not found a conf file for the DM388.

We have a stock of about a thousand medical devices that were built on your chip. We need to upgrade the firmware and have found from our Asian supplier it was built with IPNC-RDK-CSK. We have been examining the code and found it is too outdated and security risks may arise from deploying them in our customer networks. That's why we have started to consider putting Yocto on them. However, we have not found the conf files for this chip on meta-ti layers. Do you think it would be possible?

Please advise. Thank you very much.

Best Regards,

Ray Vincent
