AMIC110: How to connect multiple slaves to SPI

Part Number: AMIC110

I have a question about the SPI function of the AMIC110 SitaraTm SoC.

The DATA SHEET has the following description

This device supports only two chip selects per module.

How to connect multiple slaves to SPI

Is it possible to connect multiple slaves to SPI using General Purpose Ios?

SPIEN0,SPIEN1,SPEN2,SPEN3 are not used

  • Hello KIYOSHI KOGURE

    Thank you for the query.

You should be able to use GPIO as McSPI chip select.

With reference to the diagram that you have please note that sharing the clock and the data signals between multiple devices could result in signal integrity relate issues that designer has to take care.  In case all the devices connected are not same devices, be sure to verify the behavior of the devices when not selected to ensure there are no bus contention related issues.
